Carl guides Aceragen researchers and doctors in their work to deliver safe, effective treatments. He is an Infectious Disease physician with more than 20 years’ experience in drug development, ranging from discovery and first-in-man studies through late-phase/risk-management program implementation.
Carl has been the Principal Investigator for multiple NIAID, NCI and DoD-funded research programs and an FDA Medical Officer, serving in the Office of Antimicrobial Products. Carl has held scientific and management roles with UnitedHealth Group, PRA Health Sciences and Nanotherapeutics. He graduated from Washington University of St. Louis and completed his residency in Chicago, Illinois.
